I have been practicing psychotherapy (individual, group, and couples) and conducting forensics evaluations in the Washington DC area for over ten years. I received my Masters and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and career difficulties. My clinical experiences also include treating adults who have experienced childhood physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault and rape, war and refugee trauma, and relationship violence. I am currently certified in Level 1 and Level 2 of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and incorporate mind-body awareness and mindfulness in my work. I am also a certified yoga instructor.
I also served as an instructor for the Working with Survivors of Violence, Torture, & Trauma program (VTT) at the University of Maryland. I hold adjunct professorships at the University of Maryland Department of Psychology and Georgetown University's Law School.
I am currently a member of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and am licensed by the Board of Psychology in Washington DC. I am also authorized to practice telepsychology to patients residing in most states via PSYPACT.
